DigiLernSicher is an immersive XR training environment specifically designed for aspiring electrical engineers. The platform simulates a residential setting with faulty devices, allowing trainees to develop essential safety skills in a realistic and practice-oriented environment. In this gamified learning space, users identify and resolve electrical faults, providing optimal preparation for practical exams. The scenarios can be repeated as needed, and a built-in random fault generator ensures varied training sessions that support long-term learning success.
CHALLENGE
Working in the electrical trade involves considerable safety risks, particularly for apprentices. Traditional, paper-based learning methods lack the hands-on experience required to ensure effective safety training. As a result, learners are often inadequately prepared for the real-world challenges of the profession.
SOLUTION
DigiLernSicher offers an immersive XR environment in which trainees can safely practise safety-relevant procedures in realistic scenarios. Faulty appliances are simulated within a virtual flat, with error sources generated at random. This allows learners to train in a practical, risk-free setting. The repeatable scenarios and intuitive use of virtual measuring instruments help reinforce core concepts and prepare participants thoroughly for certification exams.
